Music

Ottawa University and Mesa Community College have created a partnership to offer a Bachelor of Arts in Music. The degree will also prepare its graduates to teach music at the secondary level, as the program is written to meet Arizona teacher certification requirements at the secondary level (grades 7-12). A choral or instrumental emphasis is available.

Admission to the program is contingent on passing an audition which is judged by a panel of MCC music faculty. Students must also demonstrate piano proficiency and will be required to complete seven semesters of private lessons and ensemble work at the community college.
