ENG 37123 IDS: IRISH LITERATURE/POLITICAL HISTORY

Interdisciplinary elective course culminating in a two-week field experience in Ireland. Students study Ireland's independence movements from 1798 to the early 20th century, focusing on the 1916 Easter Rebellion and the corpus of literature surround that event.  Field experience includes visiting distinctive sites in various regions of Ireland. Course provides an opportunity for inquiry-based examination of a foreign culture  Crosslisted with LAS 37123.
