Academic Good Standing
Students are considered to be in Academic Good Standing if they,
-
Earn at least 75% of their attempted semester credits, and
-
If their cumulative GPA is at or above the thresholds listed below:

Academic Probation
Students not meeting either the credit completion, or the cumulative GPA criteria to qualify for academic good standing will be placed on Academic Probation.
Continued Academic Probation
Students on Academic Probation who do not qualify for Academic Good Standing in their next semester will be continued on Academic Probation if
-
Their semester grade point average is at least 2.00, and
-
They earn at least 75% of their attempted semester credits.
Academic Dismissal
Students who attempt LAS 30012, LAS 20010 or LAS 20020 two times and do not successfully complete this initial class within those attempts, will be dismissed from the program. If the student drops the course within the add/drop period, it is not considered an attempt. Withdrawals are considered valid attempts.
Students not in Academic Good Standing will be Academically Dismissed if they

Do not qualify for Continued Academic Probation, or
-
Have a cumulative GPA below 1.00.
Students may appeal dismissal decisions by petitioning the Provost.
