MUS 5903 GRADUATE JAZZ PEDAGOGY II: HORNS AND RHYTHM SECTION (3)

This course is designed to continue to develop skills in the teaching of jazz and commercial music. Students will be exposed to a variety of materials, techniques and philosophies and trained in various methods of rehearsing and conducting jazz ensembles large and small. Students will develop an understanding of the idiom specific requirements of horns and rhythm section instruments to the point that they can demonstrate.
