Academic Good Standing

Students are considered to be in Academic Good Standing if they,

  1. Earn at least 75% of their attempted semester credits, and

  2. If their cumulative GPA is at or above the thresholds listed below:

Academic Probation

Students not meeting either the credit completion, or the cumulative GPA criteria to qualify for academic good standing will be placed on Academic Probation.

Continued Academic Probation

Students on Academic Probation who do not qualify for Academic Good Standing in their next semester will be continued on Academic Probation if

  1. Their semester grade point average is at least 2.00, and

  2. They earn at least 75% of their attempted semester credits.

Academic Dismissal

Students not in Academic Good Standing will be Academically Dismissed if they

  1. Do not qualify for Continued Academic Probation, or

  2. Have a cumulative GPA below 1.00.

Students may appeal dismissal decisions by petitioning the Provost.
