MUS 32020 GENERAL MUSIC METHODS AND MATERIALS
Course for students seeing Pre-K-12 teacher licensure in choral-vocal music with an emphasis on the secondary level. Students develop a fundamental understanding of the development of the adolescent voice and the skills necessary in teaching and directing choral ensembles. Experiences will include the development of proficiency in vocal and choral technique, advanced conducting techniques, literature selection and programming, curriculum design, as well as field observations and opportunities to plan and conduct choral rehearsals.
