PAS 7301 HISTORY & PHYSICAL LAB 1 (2)

The first course in a five-part series on the history and physical examination knowledge and skills needed to provide care to patients from all backgrounds in clinical practice. Learn the technical skills to perform vital signs, including height, weight, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, and pain level in patients. Develop clinical skills to conduct comprehensive and focused patient histories and physical examinations while honing patient-centered communication skills through effective history-taking and medical interviewing. Learn to perform a detailed physical examination using medical diagnostic equipment and techniques.   Practice with lab partners and/or standardized patients to gain hands-on experience in dermatologic, eye, ears, nose, throat, and endocrine history and physical examinations.
